I would like to appeal to all those parishioners who bring their mobile phones into Mass. Please can you silence them or even better switch them off. We live in a society of constant interruptions and mobile phones are the worse offenders, there's nothing more annoying than sitting in a restaurant for a meal and the person on the next table shouting into their phone or in the theatre/cinema. What is even more of an intrusion is phones that ring during Mass. Yes, we live in a society of instant communication but Church should be a place where you can go to pray and reflect without the intrusion of the 21st century. After all, I am sure the office, our family & friends can afford us time to complete our devotions without such interruptions?
