APF boxes

Last year we only managed to donate £860 to the Association for the Propagation of the Faith (APF) from the red boxes, we usually get over the £1,000 mark and it would be good if we could do it again this year. If there are any parishioners who are new and would like to have a box at home, I have plenty available. The boxes will be emptied sometime in September, and the money paid into the Society’s bank account in good time for the closing date at the end of October. The procedure is to bring your (full!) boxes up to the Church, and I will take them, and empty them and place them in the porch for you to take home and start again. There are quarterly magazines placed in the porch at intervals, I don’t order many as over the years nobody seems to take them – perhaps nobody realises they are free. So if more are wanted, I can always ask for some.

I would be glad if the boxes which are on the table in the porch were taken by whoever has a name on one, then I will clear away what is left and we can start afresh.

Thank you for all the money that has been collected for the foreign missions through the boxes in the past, and we look forward to a good result this year
