Ahotokurom update

The parish’s fundraising efforts for the Ahotokurom Leprosy village in Ghana are continuing. One of the principal methods is the 100 club, and the fourth and last draw of the present series took place on Sunday 4th June. Congratulations to the winners.

Subscriptions (£10) are now due for the next series, and these must be paid before the end of August if you wish to be included in the first draw of the next series which will be on the first Sunday of September.

You may have as many subscriptions as you like, and the draw is open to all comers. We have opened an account with the Nationwide Building Society, therefore if you wish you may pay your subscription by Standing Order. Details are available from  Paul Nattrass, tel. 020 8651 0386. Alternatively, cheques can be made payable to ‘Ahotokurom100 club’. Please write your name and 100 club number on the back of the cheque. Subscriptions should be handed to John Litchfield, Paul Nattrass, Monica Furk or Dani Gonek, in an envelope giving details of the subscriber, and a contact telephone number.

We have at present 142 subscriptions, have paid out £675 in prizes and sent £675 to Ahotokurom. With 142 subscriptions you have a one in twelve chance of winning £100 or a lesser prize of £50 or £25, which are very good odds. So pay up and get your friends and families to join, and hopefully be a winner.

The second collection taken on June 17th/18th in aid of the project, raised an excellent £513.71. Thank you to all who contributed so generously
