A bishop parked his car in a no parking zone in a big city because he was short of time, and couldn’t find a space with a meter. Then he put a note under the windscreen wiper which read,
‘I have circled the block 10 times. If I don’t park here, I’ll miss my appointment. Forgive us our trespasses’.
When he returned, he found a parking ticket on his screen, along with this note:
‘I’ve circled this block for 10 years. If I don’t give you a ticket, I’ll lose my job. Lead us not into temptation’.
'Taters'
Some people never participate, but watch while others do the work.
They are called ‘Speck Taters’
Some people never do anything to help, but find fault with the way others do the work.
They are called ‘Comment Taters’
Some people are always causing problems by asking others to agree with their discontent. It is always too hot, too cold, too sour, or too sweet.
They are called ‘Agi Taters’
There are those who say they will help, but somehow just never get around to doing what they promised.
They are called ‘Hezzi Taters’
Some people put up a front and pretend to be someone they are not.
They are called ‘Emma Taters’
Then there are those who love others and do what they say they will. They are always prepared to stop whatever they are doing for themselves and lend a helping hand. They bring real sunshine into the lives of others.
They are called ‘Sweet Taters’
