Parish Barbecue

The parish barbecue organised by the parish social committee in the grounds of Coloma Convent took place on a gloriously sunny day.  We started with an open-air mass at midday celebrated by Father Jacek which everyone enjoyed, particularly appreciating the fact that the readings included the story of the loaves and fishes!

After Mass, the barbecue was lit, the bouncy castle and ballpark were erected and the fun began.  After lunch, we played rounders, and the children had a lovely day playing in the grounds.  Many thanks to the scout leaders for their invaluable help during the day.  The photographs in St. Columba's porch show the happy smiling faces and it is hoped that next year even more of the parish members will be able to attend.   We are hoping to organise the event on a different date next year so that those who missed it this year because they were on holiday will be able to come and join in
