On the 17th September a meeting was held. Firstly a huge thank you to all who attended (25-30), and to Deacon Philip, Christine Waring, Tricia Steel and Judy Freegard, who helped instigate this project. A great amount of time and effort has been given by them to introduce the project to the parish and organise an informative, structured meeting.
The meeting was moving and encouraging. Many ideas were raised to help the people of Ahotokurom on an ongoing basis. There were fund-raising opportunities identified and, of course, regular prayer support.
The meeting closed with the forming of a new core committee. At present they are:
Stella Robinson, Paul Nattrass, John Litchfield, Gill Frost, Lori Ansell, Eddy Tame, Richard Pyatt, Adrian Steel, Dani Gonek, Monica Furk and Koulla Lucia.
It is proposed that a follow up meeting will be held on the 15th October (date not confirmed yet), to consolidate these ideas and work on a plan for the year ahead. Full updates will be provided to our parish on our progress and planned events.
We look forward to a successful and encouraging project, and welcome any other parishioners who wish to offer general support.
