In Touch Volume 1 Issue 1 - Autumn 2002

From the editor

Welcome to the first issue of 'In Touch', the parish magazine for St Columba's. Our aim is the 'In Touch' will grow to reflect the activities and meet the needs of the parish, supporting us all as we work together to offer Christ's love to our local community and the wider world.

I'd like to draw your attention especially to the letters page, and in particular to the letter from Judy Freegard regarding sponsorship of a parish or project in the developing world. I would welcome feedback on this from individuals and from paridh organisations. The parish always responds generously to CAFOD and similar appeals, but if we organised ourselves into some sponsorship we could make even more of a difference. Do please let me know how you feel about this idea and whether you would be willing to become involved

My thanks to Fr Murtagh for his encouragement, all the contributors to this first edition, and the production team for their cheerfulness, hard work and co-operation. I hope that all of you find the magazine contains something engaging and thought-provoking. I look forward to receiving your feedback, suggestions, lettrs and other contributions. Please write c/o the Presbytery, or email tricia_steel@hotmail.com
