In Touch guidelines for authors

We are interested in articles relating to parish life, activities in the Christian community in Selsdon, and possibly in Croydon, and articles relating to living out our Christian calling in the widest sense.

We welcome poems and stories which relate, however vaguely, to the areas mentioned above

We particularly welcome contributions from young writers.

We welcome letters or emails from our readers which must be accompanied by the name and address of the writer.  We will not publish the address, unless asked to do so.  We will withhold the name of the writer on request.

Articles for the magazine should not be more than 750 words in length.

We take copyright seriously and will not reproduce work from other publications without permission of the author and the publisher.

Generally speaking, we will not publish articles which have simply been downloaded from the web – particularly where these retain a strong American flavour.

Care should be taken that jokes will not be considered offensive, for example racist, sexist or in any way making fun of people’s disabilities.  We will not publish jokes which make fun of conflicts within families, between couples, or between parents and children.  We would prefer not to receive jokes downloaded from American websites unless they have been edited for the UK.
